On their large 20-hectare household, everyone works what they know best.The hardworking Murišić family produces up to 100 tons of food annually, which is quite rare for Montenegro. They grow carrots, cabbage, potatoes, beets, lettuce, onions (white, yellow, and red), kale, radishes, parsley root, corn, collard greens, strawberries, grapes, cherries. They collect teas, wild fruits (raspberries, blackberries, cornelian cherries), and medicinal herbs. They also plant clover as they have a significant number of livestock, both small and large, and make various products.They sell their products on market days in Kotor and Budva, as well as their "small market," as the hosts like to call the terrace in front of their house. From the terrace, in the natural shade of grapevines, guests can enjoy the beautiful landscape, the planted fields, the forest, watch domestic animals grazing, and embrace the silence.The enjoyment is rounded up by a rich Montenegrin bounty, featuring everything the hosts produce and process on the farm: juices, syrups, jams, preserves, teas, dairy products (four types of cheese—dry, semi-dry, in a sheep’s stomach, and in a barrel), smoked meat (bacon, dried pork, prosciutto, sausage), various types of salads (with sour cabbage being the most important), and many other dishes prepared in the traditional way.In the immediate vicinity of the farm, within the Orjen Nature Park, guests can enjoy the following amenities: an adventure park, a free climbing area, four speleological sites, wildlife observation spots, and four hiking and biking trails.
</oembed>
