The Miranović family is young and hardworking, with each member having specific responsibilities on the farm. The household is located in the picturesque village of Balabani, in the municipality of Zeta, just 5 km from Skadar Lake National Park, 12 km from the capital city of Podgorica, and a few kilometers from Golubovci Airport.
The farm covers a large area of orchards with well-maintained lawns, making it ideal for guests’ rest and recreation. Visitors can enjoy a rich gastronomic experience in complete peace and quiet. Besides hosting you on the farm, the hosts will gladly take you on a boat trip on Lake Skadar and to visit the Gostiljska River, a tributary of Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkans, renowned for its rich flora and fauna.
The primary activity of the family is fruit growing and processing. On approximately 12,000 m², there are over 300 fruit trees, including various types of plums, cherries, apricots, pears, figs, and other fruits. They also raise Amrock chickens, which are responsible for producing compost for fertilizing the fruit trees.
The host Duško is in charge of taking care of the orchard, who will generously share his extensive experience in orchard work. Hostess Ivona, who used to make cakes and various desserts, has now shifted her focus to producing juices, jams, preserves, liqueurs, wines, and other products, all made exclusively from farm-grown ingredients.
At the farm, you can try cheese pie made with homemade eggs, cornbread, the famous Zeta priganicas, and Montenegrin meze. For desserts, traditional sponge cake and a roll made from homemade eggs with plum jam are offered.
